Shores had four wrestlers make it to the City tournament’s championship match; unfortunately, all four lost and placed second at the City meet.
As a team, the Sailors finished in fifth place with 105.5 points. Champion Whitehall, which won for the seventh straight time, finished with 238 points.
In championship matches, sophomore Taylor McPhail (119) lost 10-9 to Whitehall’s Casey Robinson, senior Zach Fields (160) dropped a 9-4 decision to the Vikings’ Cameron Lewis, senior Matt Nowak (171) lost by major decision, 13-3, to Joe Sika from Whitehall and senior Nick Hendricks (215) fell 4-3 to the Vikings’ Logan Potter.
