Game Recap

The Mona Shores varsity softball team swept a double header from East Kentwood on Saturday 8-6 & 17-6. In game one Freshman Madison Van Etten picked up the win on the mound. The offense was lead by Sophomore Zoie Willeke who was 2-3 with 3 RBI. Juniors Ryleigh Wehler and Ellery Rose each had 2 hits while Junior Taylor Dew hit a solo HR. In game 2 Sophomore Lauryn Patterson picked up the win on the mound striking out 3. Junior Veronica Kastelic lead the offense going 5-5 with 5 RBI. Junior Grace Hall and Sophomore Shelby Savacool each had 2 hits. Junior Taylor Dew was 2 for 4 with 2 HR and 5 RBI. Taylor Dew broke her own single season home run record with her 9th in 14 games. The sailors move to 5-9 on the season and host Muskegon on Tuesday at home. Great job ladies.
