Boys’ c-c ends season with ninth-place at regional

The Sailors ended their season at regionals in ninth place with 224 points, well behind regional champion Rockford, which had 47 points. Jacob Baker paced the Sailors with a 26th-place time of 17:21. Also scoring for Shores were Gabe Lundgren (43rd; 17:49), Ben Cyr (45th; 18:05), Pat Taylor (46th; 18:06) and Evan Wiewiora (64th; 18:42).

The Sailors finished in 35th place with 966 points at the Portage Invitational, well behind invitational champion Hartland, which had 97 points. Shores was paced by Jacob Baker (18:15), Pat Taylor (18:26), Ben Cyr (18:29), Evan Wiewiora (19:01) and Michael Gale-Butto (19:24).

Lundgren leads Sailors to Fruitport Invitational title

Senior Gabe Lundgren paced the Sailors to the Fruitport Invitational title with his second-place finish. Lundgren finished in a time of 17:22 as Shores had 71 points, which was two points ahead of runner-up Oakridge.

Lundgren places first in win over Holland

Senior Gabe Lundgren placed first with a time of 17:50 and led Shores (3-1) to a 20-35 victory over Holland. Junior Ben Cyr (2nd; 18:19), sophomore Pat Taylor (4th; 18:35), Jake Baker (5th: 18:37), and senior Evan Wiewiora (8th; 19:26) also placed.

Lundgren’s fourth place leads Sailors at Oakridge Invite

The Sailors, behind a fourth-place finish by senior Gabe Lundgren (17:37), took sixth place at the Oakridge Invitational with 115 points. First-place Spring Lake had 64 points. Jacob Baker (20th; 18:49), Ben Cyr (21st; 18:50), Even Wiewiora (31st; 19:26) and Neil Olson (39th; 20:18) rounded out the scoring.
