The Sailors defeated second-place Forest Hills Central by four strokes at the OK Black Jamboree. Freshmen Mitchell White and Glen Kastelic led the Sailors with even par rounds of 36, followed by junior Reed Hyrnewich with 37 and junior Andrew VanAelst at 38.

Hrynewich leads Sailors to TC Invitational title

The varsity golf team won the two-day,  32-team Traverse City Invitational. Shores shot rounds of 309 and 297 to beat Forest Hills Central by one stroke and Traverse Cilty West by two. Sailors take 2nd at OK Black Pre-Season meet

At the OK Black Pre-Season meet, Shores finished behind Forest Hills Central at The Meadows at Grand Valley State University. Shores had 310 compared to 307 for FHC. Junior Reed Hyrnewich was first in the tournament with a 73 followed by junior Andrew VanAelst, freshman Glen Kastelic, and Mitchell White, all with 79s.

Hrynewich leads golfers to win at Greenville Invite

In 50 mile per hour wind gusts, the Sailors placed first in the Greenville Invitational, beating second-place Forest Hills Central by six strokes. Junior Reed Hrynewich led the team with a great 74, followed by freshman Mitchell White with 76 and freshman Glen Kastelic wilth 78.

The boys’ golf team kicked off its season with a first-place finish at the Ludington Invitational. The Sailors shot 307 to win the 23-team invitational by five strokes. Junior Reed Hyrnewich and junior Andrew VanAelst led the team with rounds of 75. Junior Joel Maire added a 76.
