The JV team got revenge on Jenison, the only team that beat them in the conference this season on Saturday. They looked AMAZING!! They won in 3 sets: 25-21, 17-25 and 15-7. They went on to honor Breast Cancer survivors and then defeated Muskegon in 2 sets: 25-6 and 25-16. What a truly AWESOME day of wins!!

Game Recap

Mona Shores Varsity Volley had two Conference wins last night. The first match the Sailors won 3 sets – 0 sets vs. Grand Rapids Union. The 2nd match the ladies pulled off a great win against Reeths-Puffer 3 sets – 1 set. The wins bring our conference record to 8-4 and our overall record to 20-21-4.
Leading the team was Zoie Willeke with 42 assists. Top attackers were Ryleigh Wehler with 17 kills, Jaizah Pyle with 14 kills and Grace Hellman with 12 kills. The defense was led by Sasha Poland with 30 digs, Sarah Mikesell with 15 digs and Grace Hellman with 14 digs. The ladies served tough all night. Jaizah Pyle had 8 aces, Emilee Carlson had 6 aces, Ryleigh Wehler and Sarah Mikesell both had 5 aces. Districts start on Monday at Northview High School at 7:00. Come out and support your Sailors Volleyball team!!!

Game Recap

Mona Shores Varsity Volleyball went 1-1 today in conference play. The Sailors lost a close 5-set match to Jenison and won in straight set against Muskegon. Our conference record goes to 6-4 and our overall record to 18-21-4.
Leading the team was Zoie Willeke with 49 assists, 3 aces and 17 digs. Top attackers were Ryleigh Wehler with 25 kills, Jaizah Pyle with 19 kills and Grace Hellman with 13 kills. Leading the defensive were Sasha Poland with 32 digs, Sarah Mikesell with 16 digs and Jaizah Pyle with 15 digs. Top blockers were Ryleigh Wehler with 6 blocks, Anya Herrala with 4 blocks and Nia Miskel with 3 blocks.
Our last conference matches will be Thursday at Reeths-Puffer. Come out and support your Sailors Volleyball team.

2017 Mona Shores –Greater Muskegon HS Girls Co-op Swim Team

OK Rainbow: (5-2)

Last night the Mona Shores-Greater Muskegon HS Girls Swim Team drops a tough one to Thornapple-Kellogg-Hastings 88-97. The Team ends the dual swim meet season 9-3 Overall and 5-2 in the OK Rainbow Conference heading into Nov.3-4 at the OK Rainbow Conference Meet. Hats off to TK-Hastings on swimming a great meet and pushing us in every event.

The Team was led by First Place Finishers 200 Medley Relay (Ari Cavinaugh-Raegen Johnson-Liz McNally-Evyn Johnson), Ari Cavanaugh (50 Free), 100 Fly Alaina Kohley, Evyn Johnson (100 Free), and 400 Free Relay (Ari Cavanaugh, Olivia McKenna, Liz McNally,Evyn Johnson). The Team despite swimming shorthanded the TEAM swam to 13 Personal Record Swims. A very tough loss but, a loss that we will learn from and bounce back and be ready for the OK Rainbow Conference Meet.
